WHAT'S IN THE BOTTLE?

Our 'EnóIoga' wines represent unique, limited expressions of the best of our vineyards in any given year.

In 2023 we were blessed with an excellent harvest of both Arinto and Fernão Pires, two grape varieties that have special synergy together. These wines were aged for 12 months in 500L French oak barrels. The best barrels were then selected to create the special blend which is our Enóloga.

This wine is the result of the of the 'Maximum Attention' that our winemaker, Maria Vicente, pays to each and every wine, and in this case each barrel.

Incredibly complex and structured on the nose, with aromatic green apple toasted nuts. The pallet is full bodied but well defined and toned with persistent acidity that transforms into a long, elegant finish. This is an ode to the 2023 vintage.

WHAT TO EAT WITH IT?

A beautiful wine to pair roasted poultry of grilled seafood. Think roasted guinea fowl with chantarelles or grilled langostines with herb butter.

WHAT'S IN THE BOTTLE?

A test vineyard, field blend of Fernao Pires, Arinto, Encruzado, Antao Vaz, Viosinho, Cercial, Riesling, Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc

Feito À Mão (Hand Made) is a fitting name for this wine as in every step of the wine making process, including picking, destemming, fermentation and bottling was completely made by hand. Fermented on stalks and skins for 270 days in traditional 500L Talhas before racking, and one month in French oak prior to bottling. This wine is an ode to traditional techniques.

Amazing & bright in the glass without any oxidative colour. On the nose it shows aromas of bright white flowers with hints of chamomile and fresh fruits. The palate is complex and textural, rich but at the same time well defined and long.

WHAT TO EAT WITH IT?

This is a very food friendly wine lending itself to work across a wide range of seafood, shellfish and rice dishes. Where it really shines is when it is paired with slow roast Iberico Pork belly. Mmmm.

Indigenous to the region.

Fernão Pires is a versatile variety that can make many differ- ent styles of wines. Here our aim was to make highlight the tropical fruit characters while making a well-structured, food friendly wine. 50% of this wine was aged in 500L new French oak barrels for 5 months.

WHAT'S IN THE BOTTLE?

Sometimes nature offers us unique expressions of our wines.

Phosphorus, from the Latin for "bright light", is made from some of our best Semillon grapes that have been fermented and then aged for 12 months in 500L French oak barrels.

A complex nose of preserved lemon, grapefruit, quince & white flowers which is enhanced by a flinty, smoky edge. Elegant and delicate, with a very long extremely balanced palate.

In the mouth it has great texture which is exceptional in such a light bodied wine. Over time, with careful cellaring this will become even more complex and enticing.

WHAT TO EAT WITH IT?

Semillon is a great wine to pair with seafood and this is no exception. Very gastronomic it will match very well with pan-seared scallops or freshly picked crab. In addition this wine will work extremely well with more robust white meats such as pheasant or slow roast pork, and fine soft cheeses.

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP IT?

Elegant and approachable now, but with the ability to mature spectacularly of the next 15 years.

We love Arinto and it is our flag- ship white wine. With high natural acidity and low alcoholic degree Arinto has the ability to age very well.

When handled correctly it can show off its fantastic Burgundian-like style. 50% of this wine was aged in 500L new French oak barrels for 5 months.

A truly elegant example of the super potential of this variety. Beautiful pear and green apple fruit, buttermilk, quince, and subtle vanilla.

Another French variety and one that is not so common in Portugal. Often associated with making sweet wines, here we wanted to create a dry white style with low alcohol and high natural acidity.

A small portion of this wine (15%) was aged in 500L new French oak barrels for 5 months to add texture and definition.

Bone dry with citrus- lemon and lime fruits as well as lemon grass green apple and a fine mineral finish.

This is a French variety that has adapted very well to the region.

This wine is unoaked and was kept on suspended lees after fermentation for 5 months prior to bottling.

This increased the body and mouthfeel of the wine while retaining the vibrant, fresh, varietal fruit. Intense white peach, nectarine, apricot & tropical fruit flavours with hints of ginger & spice.
